We wake up on day two just outside Mont-Joli. As we pull out of the station, Train 15 (towards Montréal) is waiting for Train 14 (towards Halifax) to depart. I only managed to snap ONE picture before a freight train blocked the view!
Later down the line, sunlight spills onto the Matapédia River valley revealing a beautiful scene of people fishing on the river. After stopping in Matapédia, we cross into New Brunswick and set our clocks forward one hour.
Passing though eastern New Brunswick, the rail is hugging Chaleur Bay, catching glimpses of the ocean, passing though forests onward to Moncton for the final fresh air stop before heading into Nova Scotia.
